Anne-Laure Brocas

Anne-Laure Brocas is an R&D engineer at Arkema, specializing in polymer chemistry. She obtained her PhD in 2011 at LCPO (Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques), focusing on the anionic polymerization of cyclic ethers. After gaining initial experience as an engineer in several innovative start-ups, she joined Arkema in 2016.

Her research activities focus on the synthesis of polymers with controlled architectures, particularly block copolymers, as well as their scale-up to industrial production. She develops functional materials for a wide range of applications, including thermoplastics, thermosets, and adhesive formulations.

She is also involved in evaluating the performance of these polymers in application contexts, with particular attention to their compatibility, durability, and potential for recyclability. Her expertise spans both the fundamental aspects of polymer chemistry and the industrial challenges of technology transfer.

Anne-Laure Brocas is co-author of around ten patents and scientific publications.
